Week 7

What's Coming Up?

Exhibition: Last week we introduced exhibition as a “collaborative, transdisciplinary inquiry process that involves students identifying, investigating and offering solutions to real-world issues.” We brainstormed and discussed topics that they were interested in exploring, and on Friday they selected their top 3 choices. Since this is a group project, I will be assigning their final topic and partners, so please look for the permission slip coming home on Monday. Once topics are set, we will be developing our Central Idea under the transdisciplinary theme of “How We Express Ourselves,” creating our lines of inquiry, and reviewing researching skills in order to get started!

Math:
Monday-Wednesday: Continue practice with multiplying and dividing whole numbers, quiz on Wednesday.
Thursday-Friday: Multiplication of decimals and whole numbers as well as multi-step problem solving. (We will be going back to the orange Go Math books lessons 3.1 and 3.2) Problem solving quiz Friday.
