Week 17

Well, week 16 sure was a quick one! I hope you all enjoyed the snow and your 5 day weekend! This week, we will continue the plans that were posted for last week, so I do not have new class information to share at this time. Additionally, the kids did not have homework, but can practice their spelling and quizlet lists and work on their exhibition outlines. A Message from Mrs. Rojas

Dear 5th Grade Parents:

We are getting close to our 5th grade dance show, “Dancing through the Decades.” The show will take place on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. It will feature music from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s.

We have been discussing costumes, and I have attached some ideas below. The attached link are just ideas to go off of. These are not a required costume to purchase. All students must wear pants that are comfortable to move in. They can be jeggings, jeans, jazz pants, black sweats, or athletic bottoms that go past the knee.

Most pieces can be pulled from your child’s wardrobe they currently have. All footwear must also be comfortable to move in, nothing heavy or bulky. Students can wear tennis shoes. For students who are in dance outside of school, they can wear their jazz shoes.

Moliver's Class Costumes (80’s):
· 80’s workout gear. Can have bright colored shirts without writing or prints. Leggings, pants shorts and tights are all acceptable.
· Accessories can be leg warmers, sweat bands, high knee socks
· Footloose

We are all so excited for the 5th grade performance, and everyone is showing great enthusiasm and commitment. Hope to see you at the show!

Best,
Arielle Rojas

  • Report cards go home in Tuesday folders on 1/16
  • Mark your calendar! The 5th grade dance show, “Dancing through the Decades,” will take place Feb. 15 at 6:30pm. More info from Mrs. Rojas is to follow in the next blog post.
