We are actively working on exhibition! This includes editing research papers, finishing artwork, creating tri-fold boards (presentation tools such as powerpoints and prezi are optional), and developing our speeches. In addition, students should be thinking about their “action” piece - this can be a small initiative that exemplifies the groups' message, and potentially brings about more change in the form of collective action.

Exhibition Art Contest - For those interested in having their artwork featured on the exhibition invitation, submissions are due Monday, April 30. Our central idea should be represented in some fashion: “Awareness forges responsive action”

Math: We continuing to learn about percentages and how to convert a decimal or fraction to a percent.

ELA: We will continue reading Ashes aloud as a group, and analyzing character development, plot, and a variety of literary devices. Spelling Test and Quizlet on Friday

Science: We will begin our cumulative review for the STAAR, starting with “force, motion, and energy.” Students have excellent notes in their science journals and they have their science textbooks, as well. Please feel free to go to www.studyjams.com to review any science videos.

Social Studies: This week we are covering the social, economic, and political issues that occurred in the beginning of the 20th century, including women's rights, the suffrage movement, and labor laws.
